Mission: 

At the heart of the Simcoe Read Aloud, we are people reading a book for enjoyment and sharing our thoughts about the book with others.  Whether that be with those in our class or through the use of technology, we share our experiences with others in our county.

Vision:

Our vision is that "Reading is better together” when classes are making meaningful connections,  sharing our love of reading, and communicating on a common theme.

Background:

Simcoe Read Aloud is a project that was inspired by the Global Read Aloud. Within Simcoe County, we are working to create a similar program for our classrooms. 

Simcoe Read Aloud began in 2016, with ninety teachers and their classes taking part in many different activities. Last year 250 classes participated in the Simcoe County Read Aloud. 75 classes followed Sophie on her "90 Days of Different" adventures and 175 classes decided to #ChooseKind and read Wonder.
